Yes. It covers seven jurisdictions: Canadian federal, provincial and municipal races, US federal, state and local races, and an "anything else" option for the races nobody models. Pick yours when you set up the campaign and the rest of the product follows.

Whichever your race uses. A Canadian federal campaign sees riding, a Toronto council campaign sees ward, an Ohio congressional campaign sees congressional district. Regional exceptions are automatic: Alberta and Saskatchewan get constituency, Quebec gets circonscription, New York calls a precinct an election district. If your race uses a word we did not predict, set your own and every screen uses it.

An at-large seat is a supported answer, not a blank field. Say the seat is elected at large and the seat-name question disappears; organizing runs on the precincts or polls underneath instead. The same applies to mayors, at-large council seats and the single at-large House seat in states such as Wyoming and Vermont.

Some do. You can select a published map for Canadian federal ridings, Ontario and Alberta provincial ridings, and US congressional, state senate and state house districts — pplCRM downloads it for you and places your households in it, at no cost. Municipal ward and precinct maps are not included, so a new workspace does not already know your city council’s lines. Beyond selecting a published map, a map arrives three other ways: you import the district columns your voter file already carries, you upload a GeoJSON from an open data portal, or you draw the areas yourself.

Draw it, which is the normal path rather than a fallback. Open the boundaries page, draw the areas on a map that already has your households on it, and name them. Drawing and redrawing cost nothing and never call a paid lookup service, because deciding which area a door falls in is arithmetic on coordinates already on file. Hand-drawn boundaries are approximate, so they are for organizing work rather than anything legal.

Not for the columns themselves. Headers such as CD, LD, District, Riding, Ward, Precinct, Poll, Polling division and Election district are recognized on import and written straight to the household, with no address lookup at all — ready to filter, list, count and export right away. Bare SD and HD are the deliberate exception: SD is the state code for South Dakota as often as it is a senate district, so the wizard asks you to point those two at the right field instead of quietly guessing wrong. Turf cutting is the one job that still needs coordinates, because a walk list is built from located doors. If you have the shapes instead, upload a GeoJSON and tell us which property holds each area name.

You do. We never sell, share or rent it. Your donors and constituents are not our product.

Always. People, notes, donations and history export to plain CSV whenever you want, on every plan.

No. Each organization runs in its own isolated workspace.

In Canada. Your workspace data stays there for processing and backups. Signup asks whether you need a specific region — Canada, the United States or the European Union — and the default is "does not matter", which is the right answer for most organizations. Choosing a region is part of the Movement plan. Only Canada is running today, so a workspace that asks for another region is still created in Canada and the request is recorded; the signup form says so at the time.

Your mail goes out from your own verified domain, so inbox providers judge you on your own sending record, not on the worst spammer sharing your pipe. And before every send, an AI deliverability check scores your draft 0–100 against spam patterns and shows you exactly what to fix — on every plan, including Free.

Verification proves to inbox providers that the mail really comes from you. It is the single most effective thing that keeps a newsletter out of spam, and it means the reputation you build belongs to you.

Only what you hand them: the turf they’re walking or the outing they’re driving, on iOS, Android or the web — never the contact list. By default an approved volunteer can also pick another turf inside their own campaign, never another campaign; admins can turn that off for the whole workspace or for one person. Not the whole list.

They are. The volunteer companion is offline-first for canvassing and deliveries alike — knocks and drop-offs queue on the phone and sync back to the field report when you’re in signal again.

Yes — paper is a first-class option, not a fallback. Every turf prints as a walk sheet: a map with numbered doors, the door list in walking order with blank result and notes columns, and a QR code that opens the same turf on a phone. Print mid-campaign and already-knocked doors show their result, so a paper round never retreads finished ground.

Grassroots starts at $29/month and Movement at $55/month, each covering your first 1,000 emailable subscribers. The price steps up in brackets as your list grows, and the pricing page always shows you the exact price at your subscriber count.

Yes. Annual billing costs exactly 10× the monthly price — 2 months free — at every subscriber bracket, paid up front for the year. Monthly stays the default: campaigns that wrap up mid-year shouldn’t prepay twelve months. If your list grows into a higher bracket mid-year, the prorated difference for the rest of your current billing period is charged right away on either interval.

On emailable subscribers, not total contacts. You can store your entire voter or canvassing universe for free and only pay for the people you can actually email; most tools charge you for every contact.

Donations processed through Stripe carry a 1% platform fee on top of Stripe’s own processing fees, shown transparently in the product. Subscriptions have no hidden fees.

Yes. We show estimated prices in your local currency at today’s exchange rate, and you can switch currency on the pricing page. Billing is always in US dollars.

Nothing surprising, and nothing ever blocks. When your emailable subscribers cross into a new bracket we email your admins, move you to the new bracket, and charge the prorated difference for the rest of your current billing period — so your monthly email allowance grows the moment your list does. If your list shrinks, the price drops at the next renewal automatically.
